Our Derbyshire A to Z

F is for Foolow

What better way to celebrate Derbyshire Day than to bring you some pictures from our recent walk around Foolow and Eyam in the Hope Valley.

We were lucky enough to stay at the fabulous Lea Cottage on our first visit to the Peak District almost 10 years ago and it was great to see it looking a picturesque as ever (it's a wonderful little bolt hole and Louise is the perfect host).

We strolled out of the village and onto the ridge line in overlooking the valley where you can enjoy a refreshing tipple The Barrel Bretton, Derbyshire's highest pub!

We looped down into Eyam, the infamous 'plague village' before being treated to a stunning sunset as we made our way past Waterfall Swallet back to Foolow.
