On our way back from Greno Woods we swung by Hillsborough Park, a vibrant green space offering a serene retreat from the bustling city. Spanning 20 hectares, it lies at the heart of the Hillsborough district and is a popular destination for families, fitness enthusiasts, and nature lovers. The park boasts beautifully landscaped gardens, large open fields, and a picturesque lake that attracts wildlife.
Recreational facilities include a children’s playground, a skate park, and tennis courts, catering to a wide range of activities. The Walled Garden, a peaceful oasis within the park, features seasonal plants and flowers, providing a perfect spot for relaxation. Hillsborough Library, situated in a historic building within the park grounds, serves the local community.
