Our Derbyshire A to Z

Z is for Zombies in Hathersage

We're at the end of our A-Z!

We're fully aware that we are reaching a little with our Z but you try and find a link that starts with the last letter of the alphabet.

Hathersage is one of favourite Peak District spots for it's proximity to the iconic Stanage Edge, and "What" you may ask is the zombie connections? Well...

The Spanish-Italian zombie horror film 'Let Sleeping Corpses Lie', was filmed at a number of locations in Derbyshire including Winnats Pass in Castleton, St Michael's Church in Hathersage (our link!) and Dovedale Stepping Stones near Ilam.

Also known as The Living Dead at the Manchester Morgue, it follows two people who are implicated in murders being committed by zombies in the English countryside.

Whatever your reason for coming to Hathersage be sure to grab a coffee and something yummy from the fabulous Colemans Deli.
