Y is for Youlgrave
Another local treat for us is the beautiful village of Youlgrave (or Youlgreave depending on preference!).
Just a few minutes from Bakewell, Youlgrave is a beautiful, calm Peak District village. The village sits above the River Bradford which features some incredibly old footbridges (18th Century or earlier).
Central to the village is the grade I listed All Saints Church with a 12th Century font and grade II listed sundial.
Youlgrave also features on the “Peaky Wonders” app (101 historical wonders to visit around the Peak District, including many scheduled monuments and selected listed buildings).
