Our Derbyshire A to Z

W is for Well Dressing

Yesterday we took a stroll around the beautiful village of Bonsall as it celebrates this year's well dressings. We arrived post-carnival for a calm and quiet wander with the beasties taking in the seven dressings that often take weeks to create.

"Well dressing, also known as well flowering, is a tradition practised in some parts of rural England in which wells, springs and other water sources are decorated with designs created from flower petals."

Spot the less than traditional bunting.
